Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information that the operator of cadtoinr.ca (“we”, “us”, or “our”) currently receives when you use our website, calculators, widgets, APIs, and related services (the “Service”). It is a description of current site practices, not a promise that every third-party service will use information in the same way. We do not require an account to use the public converter.

The Service is operated from Quebec, Canada. Privacy rules can differ based on where you live. This page does not claim that any particular law applies to every visitor or that the Service is certified, registered, or compliant with every privacy regime. If you have a question about your situation, contact us before sending personal information.

Questions, access or deletion requests, consent questions, and privacy concerns can be sent to info@wecr8it.com. We may need enough information to identify the relevant records before responding. We do not represent that this mailbox is a formally designated statutory privacy officer.

1. Information we collect

(a) Information received automatically

• Technical and connection information: a hosting provider or third-party request may receive an IP address, browser and device details, language, time zone, referring page, and request metadata. We do not ask you to provide this information.
• Site interactions: page paths, locale, page views, outbound provider clicks, and the provider-click source. For first-party reporting, a converter amount is reduced to a broad band (for example, 1,000–4,999) when it is associated with a provider click; the exact amount is not sent in that event. Ordinary converter input stays in the browser unless a feature sends it.
• Browser storage: the site stores a language preference and the choice made in this consent banner in local storage. The site itself does not use a first-party cookie to identify you. Google, Ahrefs, affiliate networks, and embedded providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies.
• Analytics and advertising requests: the current production setup includes Google measurement/advertising tags, Google AdSense Auto Ads, an Ahrefs Web Analytics tag, and our first-party page-view/provider-click event endpoint. These services can receive information described in their own policies.
• Server and security records: infrastructure may record request metadata for delivery, rate limiting, diagnostics, and security. The application does not promise a particular IP-log format or retention period.

(b) Information you provide

• Contact messages: your name, email address, category, and message when you use the contact form or email us. The message is sent to our inbox provider.
• Rate alerts: your email address, language, chosen target or digest frequency, and subscription consent when you subscribe. The alert service may send a confirmation email; you can unsubscribe from an alert email.

(c) Information from other services

We receive publicly available exchange-rate/provider data and may receive aggregated reporting from analytics, advertising, affiliate, hosting, email, and embedded-widget providers. We do not ask for bank-account numbers, card numbers, transfer credentials, government ID, or a transfer receipt. Please do not send them in a form or email.

2. How we use information

• to operate the converter, rate pages, comparisons, widgets, and requested alerts;
• to display and refresh rates, calculate conversions, and improve content and performance;
• to understand page use and provider referrals using aggregated or coarse event data;
• to attribute outbound referrals and any affiliate commissions;
• to answer messages and send the alert emails you requested;
• to protect the Service, apply rate limits, investigate abuse, and diagnose failures; and
• to comply with legal requests or protect our rights, users, and the public.

3. Google ads, measurement, and consent choices

In production, the Service uses Google measurement tags and Google AdSense Auto Ads. Auto Ads can choose placements and ad density across the site, including comparison pages. Google and its partners may use cookies, signals, or similar technologies to serve, measure, limit, or personalize advertising. See Google's partner-site information and ad settings.

The site's custom banner sends a Google Consent Mode v2 update for ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage, and saves the choice locally. It is not a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP). Google scripts are included by the site and may load or make requests even when the stored signal is denied; a denial is a consent signal, not a guarantee that no network request or non-personalized measurement occurs. The banner also does not turn off the separate Ahrefs or first-party event collection described above.

Google's required publisher-content guidance and certified-CMP requirements may change. See Google's required content guidance and its certified CMP information. An operator must still review the AdSense dashboard, ads.txt, geographic settings, and any required CMP arrangement outside this code.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses local storage for language and consent choices. Strictly necessary hosting, security, and embedded-service technologies may also be used. Google advertising/measurement, Ahrefs analytics, affiliate links, and the Wise comparison widget or other provider links can set cookies or use similar technologies under their own policies. Browser controls can block storage or third-party cookies, although some features may then work differently.

You can reopen this site's banner with Cookie preferences in the footer. Reopening changes the Google signals and stored choice; it does not withdraw information already received by Google, Ahrefs, a provider, or our server.

5. Affiliate links and Wise

Some provider links may be affiliate or referral links. A provider or affiliate network may receive a click and set its own attribution cookie. We may receive a commission without changing the price you pay. The Wise widget and provider websites are third-party services: their forms, accounts, transaction information, cookies, and privacy practices are controlled by them, not us. Review their policies before submitting information.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information as a business practice. Information may be disclosed to hosting/database and security providers, Google, Ahrefs, email providers, analytics and affiliate partners, embedded providers such as Wise, professional advisers, authorities when legally required, or a successor in a business transaction. We may also disclose information at your direction or with your consent.

7. Cross-border processing

Our providers may process information outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States or other countries. Their laws may differ from those where you live, and foreign authorities may have lawful access. We do not claim that every transfer has the same safeguards; ask us for current provider information before submitting personal data.

8. Retention

We do not state a single retention period in this policy. Records may be kept for different lengths depending on their purpose: event and security records, contact correspondence, alert subscriptions, backups, and legal or operational needs are not the same. Operational cleanup settings can change. We delete, anonymize, or stop using information when it is no longer needed for the applicable purpose, subject to backups, disputes, and legal requirements.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be able to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about processing; object to some processing; withdraw consent where consent is the basis; or complain to a privacy regulator. Contact info@wecr8it.com first. We will assess the request and explain if an exception or identity check applies; this policy does not promise a particular deadline or outcome in every jurisdiction.

The footer link can reopen the custom Google-consent banner. Browser, Google, Ahrefs, affiliate, and provider controls may offer additional choices directly with those services.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children, and we do not perform age verification. If you believe a child sent us information, contact us and we will review the request.

11. Security and automated decisions

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the Service. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. The converter and comparisons use your inputs and market/provider data; we do not use them to make an individual eligibility or credit decision about you.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Service or its providers change. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. For questions, requests, or complaints, contact info@wecr8it.com.
