This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of cadtoinr.ca (“cadtoinr.ca”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit or use our website, applications, widgets, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). It applies regardless of how you access the Service. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

We are based in the Province of Quebec, Canada. We comply with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec, R.S.Q. c. P-39.1, as amended by Law 25), the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) federally, and, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws.

As required by Quebec Law 25, we have designated a Privacy Officer responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable privacy law. 1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service. We do not require you to create an account to use the Service.

(a) Information collected automatically

Device and connection data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, language, time zone, and referring/exit URLs.
Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, scroll depth, search terms, clicks on provider comparison rows, currency amounts entered into our converters, and similar interactions.
Cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies (see Section 4).
Server logs: request and response metadata used for security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and diagnostics.

(b) Information you provide voluntarily

Contact information (such as your email address) when you email us, fill out a contact form, sign up for a newsletter, or report a problem.
Any other information you choose to send us in a Submission, comment, or correspondence.

(c) Information from third parties

Aggregated analytics, attribution, and conversion data from advertising networks, affiliate networks, and Third-Party Providers.
Publicly available rate, fee, and provider data from third-party APIs and data feeds.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, racial, religious, political, or sexual-orientation information). Please do not send us such information.

2. How We Use Information

We process information for the following purposes:

to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and its features;
to display live exchange rates, comparisons, calculators, charts, and forecasts;
to measure and analyze traffic, performance, and engagement;
to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
to attribute referrals and pay/receive affiliate commissions;
to personalize content and remember your preferences (such as language and theme);
to respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
to send service announcements and, where you have opted in, marketing communications;
to comply with our legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting obligations; and
to enforce our agreements and protect our rights, property, and safety, and those of our users and the public.

3. Consent

By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information for the purposes set out in this Policy. Where required by Quebec Law 25 or other applicable law, we will seek your express, free, informed, and granular consent for any processing that goes beyond what is strictly necessary to provide the Service. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer at info@wecr8it.com; withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal, and may limit our ability to provide certain features.

4. Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, we rely on the following legal bases:

Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Service, to measure performance, to attribute affiliate referrals, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
Consent — for non-essential cookies, marketing communications, and certain analytics where required.
Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law.
Contract — to provide features you request.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, measure performance, and attribute affiliate referrals. Cookies fall into the following broad categories:

Strictly necessary — required to deliver the Service (e.g., load balancing, security).
Functional — remember your preferences (language, theme, last-used amount).
Analytics — measure how the Service is used so we can improve it (e.g., Google Analytics or similar).
Affiliate / attribution — track outbound clicks to Third-Party Providers so commissions are attributed correctly.

6. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:

Service providers / processors who host, secure, monitor, analyze, support, or otherwise help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, CDN, analytics, error logging, email).
Third-Party Providers and affiliate networks for the limited purpose of attributing referrals, measuring conversions, and processing commissions.
Professional advisors (legal, accounting, insurance) under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
Authorities and other parties when required by law, court order, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our users or the public.
Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
With your consent or at your direction.

7. Cross-Border and Out-of-Province Transfers

Your information may be processed in, transferred to, and stored in jurisdictions outside Quebec and outside Canada, including the United States and the European Economic Area, where our service providers operate. The data protection laws of those jurisdictions may differ from those of Quebec or your country of residence, and your information may become subject to lawful access requests by foreign authorities. As required by Quebec Law 25, before communicating personal information outside Quebec we conduct a privacy impact assessment to confirm that the information will receive adequate protection, and we put in place appropriate contractual safeguards (such as data processing agreements and, where applicable, EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, to comply with our legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely destroy it.

9. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you and obtain information about how it is processed;
Correct or update inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, or out-of-date information;
Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
Request deletion, anonymization, or restriction of your information, subject to our legal retention obligations;
Object to certain processing;
Receive your information in a structured, commonly used, technological format (data portability — Quebec Law 25 §27, GDPR Art. 20);
Request the cessation of dissemination or de-indexing of personal information about you that contravenes the law or any court order (Quebec Law 25 §28.1, “right to deindexation”); and
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI); federally, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; in the EU/UK, your local data protection authority.

To exercise any right, contact our Privacy Officer at info@wecr8it.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days as required by Quebec Law 25. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

10. Confidentiality Incidents (Breach Notification)

We maintain a register of confidentiality incidents and have implemented procedures to detect, contain, and respond to incidents involving personal information. As required by Quebec Law 25, if a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury to an individual, we will promptly notify the affected individual and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, and take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of injury and prevent recurrence.

11. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use your personal information to make decisions about you based exclusively on automated processing. The exchange-rate calculations, conversion tables, and provider comparisons displayed on the Service operate on aggregate market data and your inputs (such as the amount you enter) — they are not individualized decisions about you.

12. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of any device or credentials you use to access the Service.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service contains links to and embeds from third-party websites, apps, widgets, and services (including the Wise comparison widget and provider sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any third party. Their information practices are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

14. Children

The Service is not directed to and is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

15. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no industry standard for how to respond to such signals, the Service does not currently respond to them.

16. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised Policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date and will be effective upon posting unless we indicate otherwise. Your continued use of the Service after the change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
